Susan Squires

Susan Squires grew up amid the giant redwoods of California. She has a Masters of Arts degree in English literature from the University of California at Los Angles where she took her Bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa. But realizing that none of her graduating friends had work, she dropped out of the Ph.D. program to take an actual paying job. She now lives at the beach in Southern California with her husband, Harry, two Belgian Sheepdogs and a Belgian mare.

She finds refuge from budgets and projects for by writing unusual and thought-provoking romances. Her award-winning books have ranged from historically detailed depictions of England in the time of the Viking invasions, through erotic Regency vampires, to edgy, sci-fi thrillers. What all have in common is romance, an element of the paranormal, and intensity.
